The 2 large pockets and their 2100 cubic inch carrying capacity can fit all your books or other important things like a laptop, phone, papers, or jacket on to your back so you can be mobile. To sum it up this is a simple, but extremely functional backpack that gets the job done.

I carry my life around in this backpack. While the Jansport Big Student Backpack does not have a builtin compartment for my macbook air, my sleeve easily fits into either of the large compartments. The front stash panel is great to get anything I need quick access to. The water bottle pocket is within easy reach to hydrate on the go. While the shoulder pads are a little stiff at first, they were ‘broken in’ fairly quickly and did not fray or tear under heavy use for over 6 months.
While Jansport markets the bad as “water resistant,” I have used it in very wet and rainy conditions and my stuff has stayed really dry.

Walking in the City With the Big Student Backpack
While the pack is rated for adults, this particular backpack is not al well suited for kids. Its large size will tend to lead to overfilling, which can eventually lead to back problems if there is continued overuse without any intervention.
